CLIO - A Giant Clitoris Puppet Learning To Love Herself - Feb 14th
CLIO - A GIANT CLITORIS PUPPET LEARNING TO LOVE HERSELF
We are proud to present this special event for a limited run here in Vancouver!
Clio lives in a world where she feels invisible and alienated. No-one ever told her who she really is or what she is capable of. CLIO. A journey of self-discovery and a purging of guilt and shame. Demystifying pleasure and becoming cliterate. A giant clitoris puppet learning to love herself.
Past Reviews for CLIO:
“You’re unlikely to meet anybody, or anything, cuter than CLIO this Fringe season. She looks like a baby xenomorph covered in velvet, she’s open, friendly and endlessly curious, and she exists only to give pleasure.” - Jim Burke, Theatre Funhouse
“It is really hard to not love Clio the Clitoris puppet. A puppeteer once told me that one of the key pieces to bringing puppetry to life is to make sure that every puppet breathes, and the puppeteering in this goes above and beyond – giving the puppet life, personality and an emotional connection with the audience.” - Fiona Ross, Montreal Rampage
"Un court spectacle de marionnette intelligent où un clitoris toujours ignoré apprend à s’aimer (avec toute sa zone inervée)! Bravo! Y'est temps qu'on en parle!” - CLIO Patron
“Still laughing after seeing CLIO yesterday and happy to be much more cliterate as a result.” - CLIO Patron
*St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival Frankie Award Nominee for Most Promising English Company (Segal Center for Performing Arts)
*Voted Top 10 to see: Montreal Fringe 2018 (Jim Burke, Montreal Gazette)
